THE GOLDEN AGE OF LIGHT MUSIC

“The world's most comprehensive collection of Light Music on CD”

Complete Catalogue - Includes January 2012 Releases

Launched in March 2004, this exciting project by Guild Music of Switzerland has already made available at modest cost over 2500 light music recordings from the 1920s to the 1960s, most of which have never before appeared on CD.  Almost eight years on there are now 90 CDs in the series with more in preparation.

All the recordings are restored and re-mastered to very high standards using CEDAR and other processes and each CD has a comprehensive booklet featuring attractive art-work and definitive notes written by David Ades, one of the world's leading light music experts. There is no duplication of tracks within the series and all CDs play for a minimum of 70 minutes with most being 75 minutes or more.

Some retailers are charging far more than the recommended retail price for these CDs.

In Great Britain the price should be a maximum of between £8 and £10.

For most parts of the world buying direct from Guild should cost less, even including postage.

e.g. Current price per CD for the USA is between 12 and 13 Dollars including Air Mail.
